Job Title: HR Assistant - FMCG

Department: Human Resources

Reporting to: Head of Human Resources East Africa

Location: Nairobi

Type of Employment: 6 months Contract

Our client is a worldwide leader in the wines and spirits industry with their Head Quarters for East Africa in Nairobi, Kenya.


Role Summary

To train and gain hands-on experience in the HR, Administration, Sustainability & Responsibility departments and operations.


Key Responsibilities

Human Resources

• Assisting to ensure new employees are on board promptly and that their tools are available before they join.

• Assisting to ensure employee benefits are disbursed on time and up to date.

• Assisting in organizing employee engagements such as Happy hours, Annual Sales, Christmas parties, Annual conventions, Team building activities e.tc

• Assisting in implementing and tracking company-wide employee training and development programs.

• Assisting in implementing other HR-related projects (e.g. iSay Action plan initiative, Well-Being survey action plan initiatives, etc.)


Administration

• Assisting in organizing local and international travel and accommodation arrangements for staff members and external parties visiting Kenya.

• Ensuring that filing systems are structured and up to date and as per PRSSA standards.

• Collating credit card summaries and facilitating new employees' credit card application process.

• Ensuring the maintenance of office cleanliness standards, office supplies, equipment, and furniture.

• Assisting in the induction and onboarding of new employees.

• Assisting with the new office move and renovation.


Sustainability and Responsibility

• Assisting in localizing and implementing any global S&R initiatives.

• Assisting in developing and managing local S&R programs.

• Ensuring implementation of the local S&R program together with all affiliated staff.

• Reporting at the Affiliate, Regional, and Global levels on the various S&R activities.

• Assisting in monitoring and managing the S&R budget spend.


Candidate Requirements

• Recent Bachelor’s degree graduate (In the past 2 Years)

• Undergraduate Degree in HR, Psychology, BBA, or a related field

• IT Skills: conversant with Microsoft Office

• Strong integrity and ability to work within a team.

• Great Interpersonal skills

• Great Oral and written communication skills.

• Good at planning and organizing.

• Some Internship or little work experience is an added advantage.
