Job Summary
As the Group Human Resource Officer, the candidate will be the HR advisor to the Executive management, interpreting HR policies, procedures, and labor laws and providing input on HR best practices. The Candidate will provide leadership on HR strategy and policies as applicable in Kenya - from Talent Management through HR budget development, succession planning, learning and development, workforce planning, coaching and mentoring, rewards and compensation programs, while aligning HR objectives with business goals.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
Group Human Resource Officer’s Roles:
As the Group Human Resource Officer, the candidate will be the HR advisor to the Executive management, interpreting HR policies, procedures, and labor laws and providing input on HR best practices. The Candidate will provide leadership on HR strategy and policies as applicable in Kenya - from Talent Management through HR budget development, succession planning, learning and development, workforce planning, coaching and mentoring, rewards and compensation programs, while aligning HR objectives with business goals.
Highlights:
• Setting up HR function within the group organization
• Developing and rolling out talent management, learning and development, and compensation programs.
• Coordinating succession planning while identifying top talent and building a talent pool.
• Overseeing recruitment and selection of staff.
• Facilitating trainings and establishing career development plans to maximize employee growth and productivity.
• Driving performance management, developing coaching and Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs) in collaboration with line managers.
• Conducting workforce planning, analyzing workforce gaps and preparing human capital reports for presentation at Board and Management meetings.
• Working collaboratively with in-house legal teams to ensure adherence with the Kenyan labor laws.
• Chair of the Joint Disciplinary Committee and member of the Productivity Evaluation Committee.
• Set-up an employee Culture initiative and a feedback mechanism that established and fostered open lines of communication while improving employee relations.
• Spearheaded change management within the organization.
Academic and Professional Experience
• Strictly Bachelor’s Degree in HR _Management
• Graduated from the year 2022 or above
• At least two (2) years working experience in a busy HR office
• Fresh graduate’s application in HR discipline will also be considered
