Job Summary
The Human Resource Officer will be responsible for overseeing all HR operations including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training and development, and compliance with labor laws. This role is pivotal in cultivating a productive and respectful workplace culture while supporting our mission of excellence in hospitality.

Job Description/Requirements
1. Recruitment and Staffing
· Coordinate and lead the recruitment process from job postings to onboarding.
· Work with department heads to identify staffing needs and workforce planning.
· Maintain a strong talent pipeline to support restaurant operations.
2. Employee Relations & Welfare
· Foster a positive and inclusive work environment aligned with our brand values.
· Handle employee grievances, disciplinary procedures, and conflict resolution fairly and professionally.
· Promote employee wellness, engagement, and retention strategies.
3. HR Policies & Compliance
· Develop, implement, and update HR policies and procedures in compliance with Kenyan labor laws and restaurant industry standards.
· Ensure all staff contracts, documentation, and records are accurate and up to date.
· Serve as the point of contact for all HR audits and legal matters.
4. Performance Management
· Implement performance appraisal systems and track individual development plans.
· Guide supervisors and managers on performance improvement strategies.
· Support continuous feedback, recognition, and reward initiatives.
5. Training & Development
· Identify training needs and organize staff development programs to enhance skills and service delivery.
· Monitor training effectiveness and align it with business objectives.
6. Payroll & HR Administration
· Collaborate with the accounts team to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing.
· Manage employee records, attendance, leave tracking, and benefits administration.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
· Age: 30 – 40 years
· Education: Diploma in Human Resource Management from a recognized institution
· Certification: Must be a Certified Human Resource Professional (CHRP) and a registered member of the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM – Kenya)
· Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar HR role, preferably in the hospitality or service industry
· In-depth knowledge of Kenyan employment law, HR best practices, and HR systems
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels
· High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR management software
