Job Summary
Our client, operating in a fast-paced environment, is looking for a competent and organised HR Officer to support various human resource functions, including payroll processing and statutory compliance, in accordance with Kenyan labor laws. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of HR experience with a proven track record in handling payroll and monthly statutory deductions such as PAYE, NHIF, NSSF, and HELB.

Job Description/Requirements
1.Payroll and Compensation
-Process accurate and timely monthly payroll for all staff
-Calculate salaries, deductions, bonuses, and benefits, ensuring accuracy and compliance
-Maintain up-to-date payroll records and address employee payroll inquiries
-Prepare and remit monthly statutory deductions.
-File PAYE returns and generate P9 forms for employees for annual returns
-Maintain accurate documentation of remittances for audit and regulatory purposes
2. HR Operations and Administration
-Assist in recruitment of seasonal staff
-Support on boarding and off boarding processes
-Maintain comprehensive employee records (physical and digital)
-Monitor validity of contracts for both temporary and seasonal staff.
- Monitor and track employee attendance, absences, and leave through the system.
3. Reporting and Record Keeping
-Prepare monthly HR reports (e.g., headcount, turnover, leave balances)
-Support internal and external HR and payroll audits
-Assist with compiling reports for management or regulatory bodies
Qualifications and Skills:
-Bachelor’s degree /Diploma in Human Resource Management, Business
Administration, or related field.
-Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar HR role, with demonstrated
expertise in payroll processing in Kenya.
-Knowledge of Kenyan labour laws and statutory requirements.
-Proficiency in payroll and conversant with HRIS.
-Strong attention to detail and a high level of integrity.
-Excellent organisational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
