Job Summary
The Human Resource Manager will lead the HR function across all restaurant and bar locations, ensuring the implementation of effective HR policies and practices. This role includes overseeing recruitment, training, performance management, compliance, and employee relations within a dynamic and fast-paced hospitality environment. The successful candidate will help build a positive work culture that promotes service excellence, staff engagement, and operational efficiency.

Job Description/Requirements
· Develop and enforce HR policies and procedures tailored to the hospitality industry and compliant with Kenyan labour laws.
· Oversee end-to-end recruitment and onboarding processes for kitchen, service, bar, and support staff.
· Together with the Director, oversee the delivery of training programs to enhance service standards, food safety, and team collaboration.
· Support outlet managers in addressing HR issues including performance management and staffing needs.
· Ensure compliance with employment regulations, health & safety, and workplace standards.
· Standardize HR practices across branches to promote fairness and consistency.
· Handle employee relations, including conflict resolution, disciplinary action, and grievance procedures.
· Maintain accurate HR records and documentation, including attendance, contracts, and leave management.
· Coordinate payroll processing in partnership with finance, ensuring accurate and timely payments and statutory deductions.
· Contribute to culture-building, employee engagement, and retention strategies.
Qualifications & Experience
· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
· Should be registered with the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM); CHRP certification is an added advantage.
· Minimum of 5–7 years of HR experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory role — ideally within the hospitality, restaurant, or service sectors.
· In-depth understanding of Kenyan labour laws, HR best practices, and standards in the hospitality industry.
· Experience supporting multi-location operations in a high-pressure, service-driven environment.
· Proficiency in HRIS systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
· Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
