Registered Clinical officer

·         Access and manage patients by history taking, physical examination, ordering appropriate investigations to enable better diagnostic and therapeutic medical care and services.

·          Promote rational drug use through use of MOH treatment guidelines.

·          Attend to emergencies presenting to the clinic and recommend referrals for cases that cannot be managed as per MOH guidelines.

·          Ensure that all required observations and vitals, prescribed treatment and procedures are carried out and documented on patients’ record/electronic medical records (EMR).

·          Boost patient experiences, through patient education, counselling, sensitizing patients through health talks, promoting prevention and early detection.

·          Periodically initiate and participate in clinical research activities through Continuous Medical Education (CME’S), institutional quality improvement and patient safety activities.

·         Participate in regular external health talks as part of continuous patient education.

·          Collaborate with the relevant consultants to arrive at the best treatment plans for specialized cases.

·         Participate in the review and development of appropriate policies and procedures for patients’ health care to formulate best practice guidelines.
