ROLE PURPOSEThe Store Human Capital Manager is responsible for facilitating key Human Capital activities on a store level. The role holder is also responsible for supporting employees with issues pertaining to general employee relations, HC policies and procedures, and administrative requests.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESRecruitment Initiate recruitment requisitions and coordinate with the Head Office to fulfil recruitment requirements.Work closely with Store Manager and Head Office to select candidates whenever required.Coordinate and communicate internal transfers between stores and facilitate logistical requirements.Participate in the on boarding and induction process for all employees. Employee Relations and Administration Address employee concerns, investigate grievances and conflicts and take necessary remedial action to manage employee relations.Ensure the efficient delivery of HC services to employees, in cooperation with the Head OfficeWork closely with Head Office to administer the preparation of employment contracts to ensure that all contracts released are in line with defined guidelines.Ensure timely renewal of contracts for all the employees.Participate in conducting exit interviews employees and oversee the handover of company assets.Verify and validate payroll data and documents and carry out regular audits to ensure its accuracy.Ensure the compensation and benefits are administered to all employees.Ensure implementation of policies and procedures regarding hygiene, safety and security, for accommodation facilities in order to maintain adherence to organizational requirements. Training and Performance Coordinate training programs with internal stakeholders and other training providers as per requirements to ensure employee talent development.Ensure training programs and initiatives contribute to the progress of the stores’ customer service level. Human Capital Responsibilities Assist in implementation of the performance management process by setting objectives, monitoring performance, and provide constructive feedback and provide inputs to senior management.Assist in implementation of the performance management process by setting objectives, monitoring performance, and provide constructive feedback and provide inputs to senior management.Provide mentorship for the purpose of developing a continuous talent pipeline for key roles.Provide inputs on training needs and coordinate with the HC department to ensure facilitation of training requirements.Develop and implement on the job-training for the team.Provide inputs for the development of annual manpower plan.Ensure the implementation of MAF Retail’s corporate policies and relevant procedures. REQUIREMENTSQUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND TRAITS Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or CHRP-K.Demonstrated high-level skills in management (experienced communicator, proven ability to build capacity.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written)Ability to manage individuals and groups.Ability to measure training effects.Strong and pragmatic problem solving, along with analytical capabilities. Minimum experience Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a Human Capital supervisory role.Experience in a retail business set up or industry will be an added advantage.
