JOB SUMMARY

Key ResponsibilitiesTeach and assess Introduction to Physical Mechanics course to undergraduate students in Bachelor of Pharmacy and Data Analytics.Introduce and mark practical reports for assigned courses that have practical componentPerform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.Support and mentor students in their career endeavors.Participate in curriculum development activities to ensure that the programs and the teaching content are up-to-date and marketable;Participate in program assessment and reviews;Minimum Educational Qualifications and Professional ExperienceA Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Engineering Physics, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related discipline from a recognized/accredited university.A Master’s degree in Physics, Engineering, Applied Physics, or a closely related discipline from a recognized/accredited university.A PhD in Physics, Engineering, Applied Physics, or a closely related discipline from a recognized/accredited university will be an added advantage.Should have at least three (3) years of university teaching experience; demonstrated ability to teach introductory Physics/Physical Mechanics to students from diverse disciplines, including health sciences, engineering, and computing, will be an added advantage.Personal Attributes & CompetenciesExcellent computer background;Be self-motivated and highly-disciplined;Excellent command of the subject area including lesson planning;Managing ambiguity and emotions;Managing technological change;Excellent communication skills;Excellent listening and mediation skills;Excellent fundraising and grants writing skills;Excellent presentation skills;Excellent research writing skills.
