JOB SUMMARY
Job Summary:The Assistant IT Manager supports the IT Manager in overseeing the organization's technology infrastructure, ensuring efficient operations, and implementing IT strategies. This role involves assisting in system maintenance, network security, troubleshooting, and managing IT staff while ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards.Key Responsibilities:Assist in the planning, implementation, and management of IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, and network systems.Support daily IT operations and ensure minimal downtime in IT services.Monitor system performance and provide proactive troubleshooting to prevent issues.Manage IT support requests and ensure timely resolution of technical issues.Assist in cybersecurity measures, including firewall maintenance, antivirus updates, and data protection.Maintain IT documentation, including network diagrams, software licenses, and IT policies.Assist in vendor management for IT-related products and services.Support the IT Manager in budgeting and procurement of IT assets.Conduct training sessions for employees on IT best practices and security protocols.Stay updated with emerging technologies and recommend improvements for efficiency.Qualifications and Skills:Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.Strong knowledge of networking, operating systems, and database management.Experience with cloud services, cybersecurity, and IT infrastructure.Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Strong leadership and communication abilities.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Preferred Qualifications:Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA, CCNA, ITIL, Microsoft Certified)Experience in IT project management
