DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Food Preparation and Production
  • Prepare, cook, and present meals according to established recipes, menus, and quality standards.
  • Ensure all dishes are prepared and served within the required timelines.
  • Monitor food quality, taste, texture, and presentation before service.
  • Assist in menu preparation and contribute ideas for new dishes and menu improvements.
  • Ensure proper portion control to minimize wastage and maintain profitability.

Kitchen Operations
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workstation at all times.
  • Ensure kitchen equipment and utensils are properly used, cleaned, and maintained.
  • Assist in receiving, inspecting, and storing food deliveries according to food safety standards.
  • Monitor stock levels and report shortages or inventory concerns promptly.
  • Support smooth kitchen operations during peak service periods.

Food Safety and Hygiene
  • Adhere to all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations.
  • Ensure proper food handling, storage, labeling, and temperature control procedures are followed.
  • Maintain compliance with health and safety standards within the kitchen.
  • Participate in routine cleaning schedules and kitchen inspections.
Teamwork and Communication
  • Work collaboratively with kitchen and service staff to ensure excellent customer satisfaction.
  • Follow instructions from supervisors and contribute positively to the kitchen team.
  • Assist in training and guiding junior kitchen staff when required.
  • Maintain professional communication and a positive attitude in the workplace.

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
  • Certificate or Diploma in Culinary Arts, Food Production, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a restaurant, hotel, or commercial kitchen environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards, hygiene regulations, and kitchen best practices.
  • Excellent culinary and food presentation skills.
  • Strong understanding of kitchen operations and workflow management.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
