- Ensure all dishes are prepared and served within the required timelines.
- Monitor food quality, taste, texture, and presentation before service.
- Assist in menu preparation and contribute ideas for new dishes and menu improvements.
- Ensure proper portion control to minimize wastage and maintain profitability.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workstation at all times.
- Ensure kitchen equipment and utensils are properly used, cleaned, and maintained.
- Assist in receiving, inspecting, and storing food deliveries according to food safety standards.
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages or inventory concerns promptly.
- Support smooth kitchen operations during peak service periods.
- Adhere to all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations.
- Ensure proper food handling, storage, labeling, and temperature control procedures are followed.
- Maintain compliance with health and safety standards within the kitchen.
- Participate in routine cleaning schedules and kitchen inspections.
- Work collaboratively with kitchen and service staff to ensure excellent customer satisfaction.
- Follow instructions from supervisors and contribute positively to the kitchen team.
- Assist in training and guiding junior kitchen staff when required.
- Maintain professional communication and a positive attitude in the workplace.
- Certificate or Diploma in Culinary Arts, Food Production, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a restaurant, hotel, or commercial kitchen environment.
- Demonstrated experience in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, hygiene regulations, and kitchen best practices.
- Excellent culinary and food presentation skills.
- Strong understanding of kitchen operations and workflow management.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
