Job Summary
On behalf of our client, we are looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive Depot Supervisor to oversee and manage a depot based in Embu. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, experience in depot management, and a thorough understanding of inventory control, logistics, and customer service. As a Depot Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring smooth depot operations, managing stock levels, overseeing staff, and maintaining high standards of safety and customer service

Job Description/Requirements
Qualifications & Skills:
1. Education: A Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
2. Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in depot or warehouse management, preferably within the FMCG or manufacturing sectors.
3. Proven experience in inventory management, logistics coordination, and team leadership.
Skills:
1. Strong leadership, organizational, and supervisory skills.
2. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
3. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
4. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.), with knowledge of warehouse management systems and inventory control software.
5. Good understanding of health and safety regulations and practices

Responsibilities:
Depot Operations Management:
1. Oversee day-to-day operations of the Embu depot, ensuring efficient processes and productivity.
2. Ensure that depot activities are carried out in accordance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
3. Supervise the receiving, storage, and dispatch of the products, ensuring proper handling and stock rotation.
4. Implement and enforce operational procedures to ensure efficiency and minimize errors or delays.
Inventory Management & Control:
1. Manage inventory levels, ensuring accurate stock counts and proper storage of materials.
2. Conduct regular stock audits and reconcile discrepancies, ensuring accurate stock records and minimizing wastage.
3. Coordinate with the logistics team to ensure timely and accurate deliveries to customers
and depots.
4. Monitor and report on product stock levels, ensuring adequate supply to meet customer demand.
Team Leadership & Supervision:
1. Lead and motivate a team of depot staff, providing training and support to ensure optimal
performance.
2. Delegate tasks and ensure that staff are properly trained and equipped to perform their duties.
3. Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to team members to promote a culture of continuous improvement.
4. Ensure staff adhere to safety guidelines and company policies to maintain a safe working
environment.
Customer Service & Relationship Management:
1. Ensure that orders are processed efficiently and accurately, meeting customer needs and
deadlines.
2. Address customer inquiries and resolve any depot-related issues or complaints in a timely manner.
3. Ensure the depot operates with a strong customer-first mentality, fostering good relationships with customers and distributors.
Health & Safety Compliance:
1. Maintain a safe working environment by ensuring adherence to health and safety standards.
2. Implement and enforce safety protocols, ensuring that depot operations are carried out in
compliance with local regulations.
3. Conduct regular safety checks and emergency drills to ensure preparedness in case of
incidents.
Reporting & Administrative Duties:
1. Prepare and submit regular reports on depot operations, inventory levels, staff performance, and customer satisfaction to senior management.
2. Monitor and report on depot expenses, identifying areas for cost optimization.
3. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all depot activities and transactions.
Process Improvement
1. Identify opportunities for operational improvements and implement strategies to increase efficiency and reduce operational costs.
2. Participate in the development and implementation of best practices and standard operating procedures for depot management.
Salary: Gross of Ksh 170,000 - 270,00 depending on the qualifications
