- Menu Planning & Preparation: Coordinate all food preparation and cooking to be carried out within the residence. Plan, prepare, and serve a variety of meals to diverse groups of people in a variety of settings. This includes creating menus, daily specials, and introducing simple creative dishes.
- Quality Control: Ensure consistency in food quality, taste, and presentation. Check the quality of raw and cooked food products to ensure that set standards are met. Ensure portions are correct and food plating is according to standards.
- Cuisine Expertise: Utilize advanced knowledge of cooking, baking, and pastry techniques.
- Inventory and Ordering: Oversee inventory control and place orders. Assist with determining food inventory needs, stocking, and ordering.
- Hygiene and Safety: Maintain kitchen cleanliness and adhere to strict safety and hygiene standards.
- Workflow: Improve work flow through revised kitchen organization.
- Stock Management: Check the freshness of food stocks. Dispose of spoiled items and ensure that quality products are being used, checking expiry dates daily
