Job Summary
The General Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Gabon office, including all logistics and transshipment activities. They'll work closely with the local team and head office to ensure the safe, optimized and efficient loading takes place at the same time making sure maintenance is performed correctly and on schedule and and budgets are controlled.

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities & Qualifications:
High priority criteria:
- Experience with leading on-site operations in transshipment, terminal operations, mining, off-shore, or oil and gas related work.
- Experience in the optimization of maritime operations or the loading/discharging or storage of bulk raw material.
- Responsible for creating, monitoring and adjusting the annual budget, diligently controlling costs to prevent overruns.
- A high level of attention to detail by reviewing operations to ensure error free operational outcomes.
- A “Hands on” approach to the actual operation, i.e. just as comfortable on the transhipper overseeing operations as in the office leading the international team.
- Willing to relocate to and be present in Gabon.
- Fluent English / Spoken French is an advantage.
Lower priority criteria:
- Experience working in West Africa is a plus.
- Onboard experience is a plus.
- Experience working for a Scandinavian company is a plus
