We are a trusted partner to global technology leaders, delivering high-quality, reliable turnkey projects and maintenance services to a rapidly expanding telecommunication market.

Position Overview

We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Human Resources Manager to build and lead our HR function from the ground up. You will be responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies that support our rapid growth, foster a high-performance culture, and ensure compliance across our multi-national operations. This is a critical leadership role for someone who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and is passionate about building a world-class team.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic HR & Policy Development

  • Develop, implement, and continuously update HR policies, procedures, and the employee handbook, ensuring alignment with company values and local labor laws.
  • Partner with the executive team to translate business goals into a comprehensive people strategy, including workforce planning and organizational design to support expansion into new regions like Tanzania and Ethiopia.
  • Establish and manage key HR metrics and reporting systems to track progress and inform decisions.

Talent Management

  • Lead the full recruitment lifecycle, from workforce planning and sourcing to interviewing, selection, and offer negotiation, to attract top-tier engineering and corporate talent.
  • Design and implement a structured onboarding and induction program to ensure new hires are effectively integrated and productive.
  • Develop performance management systems, including annual reviews, goal-setting (e.g., OKRs/KPIs), and processes for managing underperformance.

Employee Relations & Culture

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all employee relations matters, providing guidance to management and staff on resolving conflicts, conducting investigations, and administering discipline.
  • Champion a positive, inclusive, and high-performance workplace culture that reflects our client's mission and values, and organize employee engagement initiatives.
  • Implement retention strategies, stay/exit interviews, and action plans to continuously improve employee satisfaction.

Compensation, Benefits & Compliance

  • Oversee the administration of payroll, compensation, and benefits programs, ensuring they are competitive, equitable, and cost-effective.
  • Ensure full legal compliance and manage relationships with relevant government agencies (e.g., NSSF, NHIF, KRA) across all operating jurisdictions (Kenya, Somalia, South Sudan, and future markets).
  • Manage HR-related risk, including workplace safety, data privacy, and insurance requirements.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional HR certification (e.g., CHRP-K, IHRM) is a strong plus.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial or senior generalist role.
  • Prior experience in a fast-growing, multi-national, or project-based environment (engineering, construction, telecom, or technology) is highly desirable.
