Human Resources Officer (HRO) – Urgent Hire

Location: Kitengela

Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Human Resources Officer to join our team in Kitengela. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting and implementing HR strategies, managing employee relations, ensuring compliance with labor laws, and overseeing day-to-day human resource operations. This is an urgent vacancy, and qualified candidates are encouraged to apply immediately.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and offboarding.

  • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with HR policies and statutory requirements.

  • Support payroll preparation by providing accurate employee data and leave records.

  • Administer employee benefits and statutory deductions.

  • Handle employee relations matters, including disciplinary processes and grievance resolution.

  • Coordinate staff training, learning, and development initiatives.

  • Monitor employee attendance, leave, and performance.

  • Ensure compliance with the Employment Act and other relevant labor regulations.

  • Prepare HR reports and provide administrative support to management.

  • Assist in reviewing and implementing HR policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management or a related field.

  • Minimum of 3 years' relevant experience as a Human Resources Officer or in a similar HR role.

  • Must be a registered member of the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM).

  • Sound knowledge of Kenyan labor laws and HR best practices.

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills.

  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; experience with HRIS is an added advantage.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
