Duties and Responsibilities
· Obtaining manufacturers specification and developing weekly monthly and annual inspection and maintenance programs for all the machines in the plant;
· Taking care of all relevant equipment and tools to ensure they are available;
· Ensuring proper tracking of equipment/tools and spare parts inventory and escalate for re-order;
· Ensuring equipment preventive maintenance schedule is followed and updated accordingly including Boiler, air compressors, pumps, pneumatic control and sensors;
· Always support good finish during manufacturing such as welding works and Pipex manufacturing;
· Live the culture of continues improvement in the workplace by conducting research and proving ideas to reduce waste and by supporting the implementation of approved ideas;
· Be prepared to assist with the training of new team members to the current work instructions;
· Working cross functionally with different teams to achieve company goals;
· Be prepared to learn something new to enhance your own skills, support multi skilling by learning other jobs in the production team e.g plumbing & electrical installation.
· Taking part in the performance management system to create alignment of expectations, mutual understanding of actual performance and support means to improve performance;
· Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by leading by example and ensuring that you follow standards and procedures as well as complying with legal regulations;
· Ensuring proper and appropriate use of PPE’s and that tools & equipment are in a safe working condition when performing operations in the company.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
i. Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or any other relevant field;
ii. MUST be Proficient in Arch and Tig welding
iii. Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in manufacturing maintenance;
iv. Automotive experience is an added advantage;
v. Ability to read, interpret and follow work instructions;
vi. Creative thinker that can work under pressure;
vii. Attention to detail;
viii. Good written and verbal communication skills;
ix. Team player;
x. Good interpersonal skills;
xi. Willing to start immediately
