The hotel has rooms, 4 restaurants, and consists of 5 main blocks, each ranging from 1 to 2 stories high. The hotel has a signature Tudor style of architecture that has been maintained since its original construction. What is in it for you: Employee benefit card offering discounted rates in Accor worldwideLearning programs through our AcademiesOpportunity to develop your talent and grow within your property and across the world!Ability to make a difference through our Corporate Social Responsibility activities, like Planet 21 What you will be doing: To direct, administer and co-ordinate the activities of the Security Department.To establish and revise the department’s Standard Operating Procedures, rules and regulations, to ensure that standards are in accordance with the operations manual.Ensuring compliance of the hotel rules and regulations.Investigating and taking corrective actions in the case of infringement of the hotel’s rules and regulations.Lead a team of security ambassadors and ensure that they are sufficiently trained with all the security policies and procedures. To plan and schedule the day-to-day activities of all security Officers , to ensure that all hotel areas are properly and adequately secured.Monitor Officers’ attendance and plan work schedules, to schedule annual leave and overtime.Update of policies and practices so that they remain relevant and effective.Maintain close liaison with governmental authority to ensure compliance.Do all the security training with the training department.Resolve complaints and emergency situations.To develop and recommend to the management safety and security measure to safeguard VIP’s and other guests, special functions in the hotel, hotel property and ambassadors and vehicles in hotel property.Plan and schedule the day-to-day activities of all security personnel, to ensure that all hotel areas are properly and adequately always secured.Make recommendations to management on all matters where the security of the hotel, building materials and other property can be improved.Ensure that all the security Officers are fully conversant with the operation of all fire equipment in the hotel that the Engineering Department.Investigate the report of any thefts and use sound judgment in dealing with these matters, seeking the concurrence of the management if a police report is to be made.Prepare annual security goals, develops working methods and plans to carry out goals, compares actual accomplishments against goals periodically and take necessary corrective action.Support the co-ordination of safety and security/risk management programs via third party providersWork with the operational Department Heads team to ensure InterREACT tracking and complianceEnsure health, safety and welfare of all Officers is provided for through implementation of integrated occupational safety and health program.Check performance of personnel reads logbooks to determine needs for action or follow up work, corrects mistakes or inadequacies of personnel.Perform duties common to all supervisors and other duties as may be assigned, which includes conducting performance appraisals. Your experience and skills include: Relevant certificates in Safety and Security.At least 5 years of related work experience in the hospitality industry will be an advantageOrganizational and administrative skills.Strong interpersonal skills. Able to create positive and effective working relationships with both guests and team members.
