DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Software Development & Programming
  • Design, develop, and maintain software applications based on business and user requirements.
  • Write clean, efficient, maintainable, and well-documented code.
  • Develop new features, modules, and system enhancements.
  • Translate business concepts and requirements into functional technical solutions.
  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including planning, development, testing, deployment, and support.
  • Develop solutions that are scalable, secure, and optimized for performance.

Application Testing & Quality Assurance
  • Conduct unit testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure software reliability.
  • Identify and resolve software bugs, performance issues, and technical challenges.
  • Perform code reviews and implement best practices in software development.
  • Ensure applications meet usability, functionality, and security standards.
  • Support user acceptance testing and incorporate feedback into system improvements.

System Maintenance & Support
  • Maintain, upgrade, and improve existing applications and systems.
  • Monitor system performance and recommend technical improvements.
  • Provide technical support and resolve software-related issues.
  • Ensure applications remain compatible with changing business needs and technologies.
  • Maintain technical documentation for developed solutions.

Requirements Analysis and Collaboration
  • Work with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Analyze existing systems and recommend improvements.
  • Collaborate with designers, project teams, and other developers to deliver quality solutions.
  • Provide technical input during project planning and implementation.
  • Communicate progress, challenges, and solutions effectively.

Database & System Integration
  • Design, manage, and optimize databases where required.
  • Develop and maintain APIs and system integrations.
  • Ensure secure handling, storage, and processing of application data.
  • Troubleshoot database and integration-related issues.

Research & Continuous Improvement
  • Keep updated with emerging technologies, programming languages, and development frameworks.
  • Recommend improvements in software architecture, tools, and development processes.
  • Explore innovative solutions to improve system efficiency and user experience.

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in software development.
  • Proven experience developing and maintaining software applications.
  • Experience with programming languages, databases, web technologies, and software development frameworks.
  • Experience working with version control systems such as Git is an added advantage.
  • Experience developing secure, scalable, and user-friendly applications.
