Job Summary:
We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Admin & HR Assistant to join our team at our building hardware shop. The Admin & HR Assistant will be responsible for providing administrative support to the office and human resources department, ensuring efficient and effective operations. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills and a passion for ensuring the highest levels of customer service and employee satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
● Provide administrative support to the office and human resources department, including but not limited to, scheduling appointments, drafting correspondence, and maintaining records
● Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including attendance, leave, and performance records
● Assist with the recruitment and hiring process, including posting job openings, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews
● Assist with the onboarding process for new employees, including conducting orientations and preparing new hire paperwork
● Process employee payroll and benefits, and respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll and benefits
● Coordinate and plan company events and activities, including employee recognition events and team-building activities
● Monitor and maintain office supplies and equipment, and ensure a clean and organized office environment
● Handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
● Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless administrative and HR processes and effective operations
Qualifications:
● High school diploma or equivalent, with additional education or certification in human resources or a related field preferred
● Proven experience in office administration and human resources, preferably in a retail or hardware environment
● Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
● Strong attention to detail and accuracy
● Knowledge of HR regulations and procedures
● Ability to work independently and as part of a team
● Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR management software
● Familiarity with building hardware products and materials is a plus
