JOB PURPOSE
The overall purpose of this role is to oversee the day-to-day operations of the facility in order to ensure excellent client experience in service delivery and profitability.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manage and maintain the overall control of the daily operations of the branch.
• Develop and implement growth strategy based on customer centricity and revenue growth
• Responsible for promotion of the corporate brand and identity in line with the approved Corporate Communications strategy 
• Promote company products and services to new and existing customers
• Ensure compliance with all legal paperwork required in the process of admitting into and releasing a body out of the facility 
• Provide leadership and management of the company in the development of strategic objectives and goals 
• Coordinate all the funeral home services including logistics, scheduling and communication with families
• Provide support to families by guiding them through the funeral planning process with empathy and professionalism
• Supervise staff to ensure excellent service delivery and adherence to facility policy
• Manage inventory and supplies while ensuring that all necessary materials are available for operations and that there is no wastage 
• Assist in the training and mentoring of new staff members
• Liaise with other departments in organizing clients’ services. Such services include flowers, caskets and transport.
• Manage and supervise branch staff, including recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance evaluations.
• Develop and implement strategies to increase branch profitability and achieve business targets.
• Identify opportunities for business growth and implement initiatives to take advantage of such opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry regulations.
• Resolve customer complaints and issues promptly, efficiently and professionally.
• Monitor branch financials, including budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
• Promote a positive and productive work environment.
• Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate goals, updates, and address any concerns.
• Coordinate with other branch managers for purposes of collaboration.
• Manage revenue generation for the branch through client acquisition and retention strategies
• Enhance the branch’s reputation by setting an example regarding ethics, morals and professionalism and reaffirming this throughout the organization in the daily relationships with clients and other stakeholders.
• Lead the negotiation of the various agreements/contracts with the clients regarding the storage and care of human remains.
• Oversee compliance with applicable laws and regulations in Kenya and other areas of operation in line with the operations of the business.
• Resolve conflicts involving staff in an objective and professional manner
• Develop and implement internal policies and procedures to promote best practices within the facility. 
• Create a safe and conducive work environment for the team through effective communication and collaboration.
• Attend management meetings and actively participate in the deliberations.
• Perform any other duties as may be assigned to you by management.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Academic Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university in Health Sciences or Mortuary Services or Any business related.

Professional Qualifications
• Professional qualification in Health Science or Mortuary Science or Business
• Membership of a professional body and in good standing

Professional Experience
• 3-5 years in a managerial position. 

Skills and Attributes
• Ability to understand and resolve complex problems
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to handle delicate and emotional situations with grace, empathy and professionalism
• Computer literacy
• Attention to details and ability to handle multiple assignments concurrently
• Understanding of the existing country’s laws regarding disposal of bodies
• Understanding and respect of different religious and cultural beliefs and practices from different cultures
