CIVIL PROJECT MANAGER
Job summary
The Civil Project Manager will lead the planning and execution of large-scale civil and infrastructure projects from initiation through completion. The role will oversee multidisciplinary teams, project budgets, schedules, procurement, contractors, quality, HSE compliance, and stakeholder relationships to ensure successful project delivery.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum 12 years of progressive project management experience in large-scale civil or infrastructure projects.
- Proven experience leading multidisciplinary civil engineering teams, including structural, geotechnical, and infrastructure professionals.
- Extensive knowledge of all project lifecycle phases: initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closing.
- Demonstrated success in cost control, budget management, value engineering, and project scheduling.
- Proficiency in project management tools such as Primavera P6 or MS Project.
- Strong experience in vendor management, procurement, contract negotiation, and administration.
- Thorough understanding of HSE standards and applicable Kenyan regulatory requirements.
- Excellent leadership, communication, stakeholder-management, and interpersonal skills.
- Active registration with the Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK) or an equivalent international professional body.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead multidisciplinary civil project teams and manage complex construction portfolios.
- Oversee all phases of the project lifecycle from planning through completion.
- Develop and monitor project schedules, budgets, resources, and deliverables.
- Direct cost control, budget management, value engineering, and project forecasting.
- Manage procurement processes, contractors, vendors, and project contracts.
- Ensure civil designs and construction works meet technical specifications and quality standards.
- Manage variation claims, project finances, and contractual obligations.
- Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions where required.
- Ensure civil engineering works comply with HSE standards and Kenyan regulations.
- Maintain effective communication with clients, consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Provide regular project performance reports to senior management.
