The role combines strategic fundraising, proposal development, project, process, and compliance management

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities
1. Grant Identification & Strategy
- Monitor relevant EU funding opportunities (e.g., Erasmus+, Horizon Europe, Creative Europe, Interreg, LIFE, EuropeAid).
- Map eligibility criteria, deadlines, and funding priorities aligned with the organization’s strategy.
- Develop and maintain a multi-year EU funding pipeline and calendar.
- Advise leadership on upcoming opportunities and partnership-building strategies.
2. Proposal Development
- Lead or coordinate the drafting of grant proposals, including narrative, work plans, budgets, and logical frameworks.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners (universities, NGOs, municipalities, and cultural institutions) in proposal preparation.
- Ensure proposals meet all EU formal requirements and evaluation criteria.
- Collect and verify supporting documentation (letters of intent, CVs, legal forms, financial statements).
3. Project & Financial Management
- Oversee the full project lifecycle of EU-funded projects — from contracting and inception to reporting and closure.
- Monitor progress against deliverables, milestones, and financial plans.
- Work with Finance and Program teams to ensure compliant budget tracking and eligible cost management.
- Prepare and submit interim and final reports to the European Commission or relevant funding agency.
- Manage subcontractors, consultants, and consortium communications where relevant.
4. Compliance & Audit
- Ensure full compliance with EU regulations (procurement, publicity, eligibility, ethics, data protection).
- Maintain up-to-date project documentation and audit-ready records.
- Liaise with auditors and grant authorities during project verifications or monitoring visits.
- Advise internal stakeholders on best practices for EU-funded project management.
5. Partnership Building & Representation
- Cultivate partnerships with EU institutions, national agencies, and relevant networks.
- Represent the organization in consortia, stakeholder events, and EU information sessions.
- Coordinate joint proposals and consortium agreements with European partners.
- Strengthen visibility and credibility of the organization in the EU grants landscape.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in European Studies, International Relations, Economics, Public Administration, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in EU grant management, proposal writing, or project coordination.
- Deep understanding of EU funding instruments, calls, and application processes.
- Strong writing and analytical skills with ability to translate complex ideas into compelling proposals.
- Proficiency with EU funding portals (e.g., Funding & Tenders Portal, Erasmus+ portals).
- Financial literacy for managing multi-partner project budgets and eligible expenditure rules.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience working in multicultural teams.
- Strong project management and time management skills; able to meet tight deadlines.
- Fluency in English (spoken and written).
