PROJECT MANAGER

ZB Construction Ltd. – Nairobi, Kenya is the foreign branch of Zubaida Group of Companies, with operations in Dubai – UAE, India and Somaliland.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 10+ years of progressive project management experience in large-scale building or infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience in leading multi-disciplinary project teams and managing complex, high-value construction portfolios.
• Expertise in all phases of the project lifecycle: initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closing.
• Demonstrated success in cost control, budget management, value engineering, and scheduling (e.g., using MS Project or Primavera P6).
• Strong track record of vendor management, procurement processes, and contract negotiation.
• Thorough understanding of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards and local Kenyan regulatory compliance.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills.
• Active registration with the Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK) or the Kenya Institute of Project Management (KIPM) is a strong asset.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead multi-disciplinary project teams and manage complex, large-scale construction portfolios.
• Oversee all phases of the project lifecycle: planning, execution, monitoring, and closing.

Technical & Budget:

• Direct cost control, budget management, value engineering, and scheduling (e.g., using MS Project or Primavera P6).
• Negotiate and manage procurement processes, contracts, and vendor performance.

Compliance & Safety:

• Ensure adherence to environmental (HSE) standards and local Kenyan regulatory compliance.

Communication:

• Develop and maintain strong communication with all project stakeholders.
