QUANTITY SURVEYOR

Quantity Surveyor

 The role will work closely with project teams, contractors, subcontractors, and clients to ensure projects remain within budget and achieve strong commercial outcomes.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
• Minimum 7 years of progressive Quantity Surveying experience, with significant exposure to large-scale infrastructure and building projects.
• Proven experience in cost estimation, cost planning, and project cost control.
• Expertise in QS software such as CostX, ProEst, or similar, and advanced MS Excel.
• Demonstrated experience in negotiating and closing final accounts.
• Thorough understanding of construction law and various contract types.
• Strong track record in cost planning, valuation, and financial reporting.
• Active registration with a relevant professional body such as RICS, IQSK, or equivalent.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong knowledge of cost-control methods and procurement strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed and accurate Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for complex projects.
• Oversee tendering processes and evaluate subcontractor quotations.
• Provide recommendations on subcontractor and supplier appointments.
• Manage variation claims, progress payments, valuations, and final accounts.
• Conduct cost forecasting, cost reporting, and project financial analysis.
• Implement effective budget controls and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Carry out site measurements and valuations as required.
• Maintain accurate project cost documentation and records.
• Collaborate with project managers, clients, contractors, and subcontractors.
• Report project cost performance to senior management.
• Ensure compliance with relevant construction laws, contractual requirements, and company policies.
