The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for managing the commercial and financial aspects of construction projects, including cost planning, estimation, tendering, valuations, variations, and final accounts.

Quantity Surveyor
The role will work closely with project teams, contractors, subcontractors, and clients to ensure projects remain within budget and achieve strong commercial outcomes.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
- Minimum 7 years of progressive Quantity Surveying experience, with significant exposure to large-scale infrastructure and building projects.
- Proven experience in cost estimation, cost planning, and project cost control.
- Expertise in QS software such as CostX, ProEst, or similar, and advanced MS Excel.
- Demonstrated experience in negotiating and closing final accounts.
- Thorough understanding of construction law and various contract types.
- Strong track record in cost planning, valuation, and financial reporting.
- Active registration with a relevant professional body such as RICS, IQSK, or equivalent.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong knowledge of cost-control methods and procurement strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed and accurate Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for complex projects.
- Oversee tendering processes and evaluate subcontractor quotations.
- Provide recommendations on subcontractor and supplier appointments.
- Manage variation claims, progress payments, valuations, and final accounts.
- Conduct cost forecasting, cost reporting, and project financial analysis.
- Implement effective budget controls and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Carry out site measurements and valuations as required.
- Maintain accurate project cost documentation and records.
- Collaborate with project managers, clients, contractors, and subcontractors.
- Report project cost performance to senior management.
- Ensure compliance with relevant construction laws, contractual requirements, and company policies.
