SENIOR ARCHITECT
Job summary
The Senior Architect will lead the architectural design and delivery of large-scale, high-end, and mixed-use developments from concept through construction administration. The role will coordinate multidisciplinary design teams, manage design quality and client expectations, and ensure projects meet technical, regulatory, budget, and timeline requirements.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from a recognized university.
- Minimum 12 years of progressive architectural design and project management experience.
- Strong experience in large-scale, high-end, or mixed-use developments.
- Proven ability to lead and coordinate multidisciplinary design teams, including MEP, structural, interior, and other consultants.
- Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, Rhinoceros, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Demonstrated experience in conceptual design, design development, and construction documentation.
- Strong understanding of local building codes, international standards, and sustainable design principles such as LEED and EDGE.
- Proven track record of successful client presentations and stakeholder engagement.
- Active registration with the Board of Registration of Architects and Quantity Surveyors (BORAQS) Kenya or equivalent international professional body.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and project-management skills.
- Strong understanding of design-phase scheduling and budget management.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the architectural design process from concept development through construction administration.
- Ensure designs meet client requirements, budgets, quality standards, and project timelines.
- Coordinate and integrate architectural information with structural, MEP, interior, and other consultants.
- Prepare and present design proposals to clients and regulatory authorities.
- Develop architectural specifications and ensure compliance with applicable standards.
- Review and approve construction documents, technical drawings, and shop drawings.
- Support project managers with design budget tracking and cost estimation.
- Monitor construction progress to ensure design intent is maintained.
- Ensure architectural documentation complies with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain effective communication with clients, consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Mentor and guide junior architects and design staff.
