Job summary
To facilitate effective theoretical and practical learning in Occupational Therapy, support students in developing relevant professional competencies, and ensure academic activities are delivered in line with the college's curriculum and standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver Occupational Therapy lessons in accordance with the approved curriculum and academic timetable.
- Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, assessments and other relevant academic resources.
- Facilitate practical sessions and demonstrations to enhance students' hands-on skills.
- Assess, mark and provide constructive feedback on students' assignments, practicals and examinations.
- Monitor students' academic progress and provide appropriate academic support where required.
- Maintain accurate class attendance, assessment and academic records.
- Participate in examinations, moderation, invigilation and other academic activities.
- Support students during practical training, attachments and clinical learning activities where applicable.
- Ensure practical sessions are conducted safely and professionally.
- Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum reviews and academic development activities.
- Mentor students on professional conduct, ethics and workplace expectations.
- Maintain professional knowledge and keep abreast of developments in Occupational Therapy.
- Collaborate with other tutors and departments to support effective student learning and overall academic performance.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognized institution.
- Relevant professional registration/licensing as required by applicable regulatory bodies.
- Teaching/training experience in a college or TVET environment will be an added advantage.
- Relevant clinical/practical experience in Occupational Therapy.
- Good knowledge of Occupational Therapy principles, procedures and professional standards.
- Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to use digital learning platforms and basic computer applications.
- Strong organizational, assessment and record-keeping skills.
