Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Principal with a strong nursing background (BSN) to provide academic leadership, strategic direction, and operational oversight. The Principal will ensure the highest standards of teaching, learning, and professional practice in alignment with national education regulations and the college's mission

Job Description/Requirements

Academic Leadership

  • Provide leadership in curriculum development, instructional delivery, and student assessment in nursing and health sciences.
  • Ensure compliance with national accreditation and regulatory bodies (e.g., TVETA, NCK).
  • Promote a culture of academic excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.


Administrative Management

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the college, including academic scheduling, staffing, and resource allocation.
  • Supervise and support academic and non-academic staff, including faculty recruitment, development, and evaluation.
  • Ensure effective management of student affairs, admissions, and academic records.


Strategic Planning and Development

  • Lead the formulation and execution of strategic plans to advance the college’s mission.
  • Develop partnerships with healthcare institutions, regulatory bodies, and stakeholders to support internships, job placements, and collaborative initiatives.
  • Contribute to fundraising, grant writing, and institutional development activities.


Quality Assurance and Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to national education standards and professional codes of practice in nursing education.
  • Lead internal audits and prepare the college for external assessments or inspections.
  • Maintain robust quality assurance mechanisms to monitor and enhance institutional performance.


Student Engagement and Success

  • Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Promote student welfare, discipline, and career development.
  • Support initiatives that improve student retention, performance, and licensure success rates.
