PROVIDE A SAFE AND SECURE HOTELFOR GUESTS AND EMPLOYEES
The Assistant Security Manager will be stationed in a visible location at the main entrance in order to avail themselves if matters arise. In case of high traffic queue, they will be required to assist the security officers to conduct search. To guide monitor and instruct contracted security on search procedures. The Assistant Security Manager shall handle all matters arising at the main gate to minimize complaints from the incoming guests. The Assistant Security Manager shall ensure that the main entrance is overviewed by contracted security supervisors 24/7. To make sure that any guest complaint is handled politely and professionally and report at the shortest time possible To report any non-performance of security officers at the main entrance Handle complaints, investigations, and thoroughly report on guest or employee irregularities including theft, injuries, lost property. Car accidents, loud parties, vandalism, and other safety related issues. He/ She must write incident report, update in the OB print and file, fill in weekly incident tablet for reference. Improve safety and security at the Hotel by communicating hazard within the departments and taking appropriate corrective action. Develops and maintains a working relationship with the local fire, police, and government agencies and participates in relevant local forums for hotel and tourism safety and security. Ensures and documents that safety and security training is carried out for all employees and is aware of the Radisson Safety and Security programs available for 1-2-3 brush-up training, 5 steps to fire drills and crisis management training. Patrols the hotel on a regular basis and documents activities in accordance with corporate safety and security policies and procedures. Processes all written reports involving security related incidents and guest or employee accidents and ensures these are logged in the 3T monitor system by the General Manager. Improves safety and security at the hotel by communicating hazards with department heads and taking appropriate corrective action Handles complaints, investigates, and thoroughly reports on guest or employee injuries, thefts, assaults, lost property, car accidents, loud parties, vandalism, and other safety and security related issues. Ensures that the Radisson Risk Management system is adapted to local conditions and that written manuals and procedures are in place in the hotel and available for all departments and employees as necessary. Ensures that routines and procedures are in place to keep all hotel entrances and exits are locked and unlocked per hotel policy. Maintains hotel key management procedures and ensures that all keys are accountable and only authorized persons have access to keys Ensures that routines and procedures are in place to securely close down the different outlets at end of opening time. Ensures that all meeting rooms and exhibit rooms are secured to keep unauthorized individuals out of the area and prevent theft. Completes daily security log, including pertinent information from the shift. Completes workerâs compensation claims that occur on duty by investigating to determine how the accident occurred and what could have been done to prevent it. Ensures that all potential and real hazards are communicated and taken care of immediately. Applies hotel regulations, adhering to existing laws and regulations for safety, security and prevention. Anticipates possible and probable hazards and conditions and corrects them or acts to prevent them from happening. Ensures that the 3T monitor self-audit system is kept up to date and that incident reports are logged. Responsible Business: show involvement and be interested in environmental and/or social issues by participating in Responsible Business hotel and departmental activities Attends meetings and training required by the Security Manager Assists colleagues to perform similar or related jobs when necessary Ensures guest satisfaction by attending to their requests and inquires courteously and efficiently Accepts flexible work schedule necessary for uninterrupted service to hotel guests and the hotelâs stakeholders Maintains own working area, materials and company property clean, tidy and in good shape; reports defective materials and equipment to Security Manager Continuously seeks to endeavour and improve own knowledge of the job function Knows the following procedures by heart:- Hotel fire, bomb and emergency procedures
