General Purpose
Our client, a leading manufacturing company located in Tilisi, near Limuru Town, is seeking to recruit experienced, responsible, and safety-conscious Delivery Truck Driver to support its goods delivery operations across Kenya. The successful candidates will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of raw materials, finished products, equipment, and other authorized loads between designated locations while ensuring compliance with company policies, road safety regulations, and operational procedures.
Location: Tilisi, Near Limuru Town | Gross Salary: Ksh. 30,800
Duties & Responsibilities
• Report to work as scheduled and ensure no absence without prior approval from the employer or person in charge.
• Maintain proper custody of the assigned truck and prevent unauthorized use.
• Ensure the truck is used strictly for its intended purpose and parked only in designated areas.
• Operate the truck and trailer safely and responsibly at all times.
• Carry out routine checks and ensure proper care and maintenance of the truck and trailer in line with established standards and service schedules.
• Present the truck and trailer for inspection before every trip departing from the factory site.
• Comply with all traffic laws, regulations, and prescribed speed limits.
• Drive responsibly to meet the required minimum fuel efficiency standards.
• Adhere to site-specific and internal speed limits at all company and factory locations.
• Strictly observe company guidelines, including zero tolerance for unauthorized passengers, drunk or impaired driving, and non-compliance with required PPE.
• Ensure all cargo is properly secured to prevent damage, loss, or spillage during transportation.
• Keep the truck and trailer clean, presentable, and well-maintained at all times.
Requirements & Qualifications
• Minimum KCSE Mean Grade D+ (Plus).
• At least 5 years of proven experience as a truck driver.
• Valid Certificate of Good Conduct.
• Valid Class C1 Driving Licence.
• Good communication skills in English and/or Kiswahili.
• Clean driving record and a strong safety record.
• Experience driving delivery trucks across Kenyan roads will be an added advantage.
