- Plan and execute event décor setups based on client briefs and event themes.
- Select and arrange decorative materials such as flowers, balloons, drapery, lighting, centerpieces, and props.
- Create visually appealing event spaces including stages, reception areas, dining setups, and photo booths.
- Ensure all décor elements align with the theme, color scheme, and client expectations.
- Develop creative décor concepts for different types of events such as weddings, corporate events, birthdays, and celebrations.
- Transform empty venues into attractive and engaging event spaces.
- Suggest innovative décor ideas and improvements to enhance event aesthetics.
- Stay updated on modern event styling trends and décor techniques.
- Set up and dismantle event décor within scheduled timelines.
- Ensure proper handling, transportation, and storage of décor materials and equipment.
- Supervise arrangement of furniture, lighting, floral arrangements, and decorative structures.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers during event setup.
- Ensure all décor elements are properly aligned, secure, and visually balanced.
- Inspect event setups before guest arrival to ensure high-quality presentation.
- Make on-site adjustments as needed to maintain event standards.
- Maintain consistency in design quality across all events.
- Work closely with event planners, clients, and team members to understand event requirements.
- Communicate effectively regarding design choices, timelines, and setup progress.
- Support the team in achieving smooth execution of events.
- Maintain a professional and positive attitude when interacting with clients and guests.
- Properly handle, store, and maintain décor materials and tools.
- Ensure efficient use of materials to minimize waste and control costs.
- Monitor stock levels of décor supplies and report shortages.
- Follow safety procedures when handling equipment, climbing, or setting up structures.
- Ensure safe installation of lighting, props, and elevated décor elements.
- Maintain cleanliness and order at event sites before, during, and after setup.
- Diploma in Event Management, Interior Design, Hospitality, or related field is an advantage.
- Minimum of 2+ years’ experience working as an Events Decorator or in a similar creative/events setup role.
- Proven experience in event styling, décor setup, and venue transformation.
- Strong creativity and artistic ability.
- Excellent sense of color, design, and spatial arrangement.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight event deadlines.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Good physical stamina for setup and dismantling of event structures.
