AA Kenya is the largest Automobile Association in Kenya with over 100,000 members and branch offices in all major towns countrywide. Internationally we are affiliated with the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) which represents over 100 million motorists worldwide. We promote and safeguard the interests of motorists through a broad range of services to include: roadside assistance; information and advise about the purchase, maintenance and repair of vehicles; negotiation of attractive insurance premiums.
JOB SUMMARY
The job holder will actualize the PR, Communications and Marketing vision for AA Kenya and focus on aligning all aspects of public relations, brand visibility and reputation management with the strategic direction of AA Kenya. The position demands leadership, program planning, fiscal accountability, communications and marketing expertise, and experience with metrics, reporting and performance management. You will lead initiatives and support a collaborative culture within the AA Kenya and its stakeholders. As a member of the Leadership Team, the position holder will provide high-quality strategic advice and contribute to the overall effectiveness of the communications and strategic marketing direction for AA Kenya.Minimum job requirements:For appointment to this position, one must possess:Bachelor’s degree in PR, Marketing or any related field.Qualified chartered marketer will be an added advantage.At least 7 years’ experience preferably in a reputable firm, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.A track record of developing and leading teams to successful delivery of tangible value in a dynamic business environment.High level of commercial awareness and capacity to leverage on expertise in order to generate sales.Skills and CompetenciesStrategic thinking and executionMarket research and reporting skills.Ability to analyze and appropriately respond to market research, current market conditions and competitor information.Excellent project and events management skills.Excellent creative writing skills.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Ability to interact at all levels within the business.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Excellent people skills to build, enhance and sustain team performance.
