Senior Accountant

Position: Senior Accountant

Reports to: Finance Manager / Director

Location: Nairobi, Kenya

McCullogh Real Estate is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our Finance team. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance with statutory requirements, and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

•  Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
•  Perform account reconciliations and ensure accuracy of the general ledger
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing
• Ensure compliance with Kenyan tax regulations and statutory filings
• Collaborate with auditors and support internal controls
• Identify process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy
  

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• CPA-K or ACCA qualification (or finalist)
• 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience 
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, Kenyan tax regulations, and accounting systems
• Advanced Excel and ERP/accounting software skills
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
