Job descriptions & requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Take accurate customer measurements for custom-made garments.
- Cut fabrics according to patterns, measurements, and design specifications.
- Stitch and assemble garments including men’s suits, trousers, blazers, shirts, kurtas, sherwanis, salwar suits, lehengas, and other Indian outfits.
- Perform fittings and make necessary alterations to achieve proper fit and customer satisfaction.
- Repair, adjust, and modify garments when required.
- Select suitable fabrics, linings, and materials for different garment styles.
- Operate and maintain sewing machines, cutting equipment, and tailoring tools safely and efficiently.
- Ensure garments meet quality standards before final delivery.
- Press, finish, and prepare garments for customer collection or delivery.
- Manage multiple orders while meeting deadlines and production schedules.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the tailoring workspace.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding garment specifications and fitting requirements.
- Keep updated with modern tailoring techniques, fashion trends, and garment construction methods.
