Job Purpose
The Accounts and Finance Officer will handle the daily financial operations of the company. The successful candidate will ensure accurate transaction recording, seamless processing of accounts payable and receivable, thorough bank reconciliations, and vital support during monthly and annual financial reporting cycles.
Key Responsibilities
Daily Financial Operations
Manage all daily bookkeeping and accounting transactions within the financial system.
Ensure proper filing, digitization, and systematic organization of all financial documents.
Monitor internal expense policies and enforce accurate cost allocation.
Accounts Receivable (AR)
Generate and dispatch accurate customer invoices, debit notes, and credit notes in a timely manner.
Process and record daily cash sales, over-the-counter payments, and bank receipts.
Perform routine daily cash-up verifications for transactions and retail deposits.
Monitor the accounts receivable ledger and systematically follow up on overdue customer balances.
Accounts Payable (AP)
Review, verify, and match vendor invoices with purchase orders or delivery documents.
Schedule weekly payment runs and manage supplier accounts to prevent payment penalties.
Resolve billing disputes, short payments, or pricing issues directly with vendors.
Reconcile vendor statements with company ledgers before processing disbursements.
Bank Reconciliations
Perform daily or weekly bank statement reconciliations against internal ledger
Requirements & Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a business-related field.
Professional Certification: CPA Part II / ACCA Level 2 or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
Experience: Minimum of 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience handling AP, AR, and basic reconciliations.
