Job summary
A Cashier is responsible for handling customer transactions accurately and efficiently while providing excellent customer service. They process payments, issue receipts, and assist customers with inquiries in retail stores, supermarkets, restaurants, or other businesses.

Job Description
• Handle daily cash receipts, payments, counting and bank bookkeeping
. • Process bank transfers, remittances, and bank reconciliations. • Review reimbursement documents and payment requests for compliance
. • Maintain cash and bank journals to ensure accuracy
• Operate the cash register or Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently • Assist accountant with month-end closing and voucher filing.
• Ensure proper accountability and security of cash and company financial documents. • Ensure compliance with company financial procedures and internal controls.
• Report any discrepancies, shortages, or suspicious activities immediately.
• Balance cash drawers and reconcile transactions at the end of each shift/day.
• Perform the tax reporting routine work, and maintain the tax file
Qualifications and Requirements:
• Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
At least 5 years of experience in bookkeeping and tax reporting.
• Basic accounting and numerical skills.
• Proficiency in POS systems, Microsoft Excel, and computer applications.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• High level of honesty, integrity, and accountability.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle transactions efficiently
