Job Title: Field Collection Agent

Position: Reports to Collections Manager

Duties and Responsibilities

The job holder’s duties and responsibilities are outlined as follows:

1. Keep track of assigned accounts in one’s portfolio and ensure proper follow-up is done and all interactions with the customer via calls, chats, or face-to-face are keyed in the system.

2. Plan a course of action to recover outstanding payments in one’s portfolio

3. Skip trace, locate, and contact debtors to inquire of their payment status, collect outstanding amounts, or repossess the collateral.

4. Negotiate payoff deadlines or repayment plans by dealing with customers diligently, courteously, and professionally while collecting payments.

5. Collaborate with fellow team agents during collection drives to ensure that the collection drive targets are hit and that the drives are successful.

6. Retain customer loyalty while initiating processes for the collection of outstanding payments.

7. Daily and weekly reporting of collections done.

8. Providing HQ with reliable market Intel from the branches in order to inform decision-making.

9. Maintain good relations with local law enforcement authorities for the benefit of the company

10. Act as a representative of HQ while in the branches and ensure that any violation of SOPs is escalated to HQ

11. Any other duties as may be assigned by your line manager
