JOB SUMMARY

The Accountant is a key role responsible for managing financial tasks, ensuring compliance withregulations, and supporting strategic financial planning through reporting.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Financial ReportingGeneral Ledger Management: Ensure timely and accurate recording of all financial transactions in compliance with accounting standards and regulations.Monthly Reconciliations: Conduct monthly reconciliations of system data, banks, and Mpesa records promptly.Data Analysis: Analyze system data and derive conclusions for reporting purposes.Financial Statements: Assist in the consolidation of financial statements and reports.Customized Reporting: Generate customized reports for stakeholder and investor reporting.Forecasting and Budgeting: Assist in the preparation of financial forecasts and budgets.Budget Monitoring: Monitor budget performance and report on variances.Bad Debt Analysis: Create a bad debt analysis report on a monthly basis.2. Taxes and Compliance- Ensuring compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations and internal policies.3. Audit- Participatingin internal and external audits and providing relevant supportWhat you should haveDegree in Finance/Accounting or any relevant field.CPA/ACCA Certification.Practical knowledge in QuickBooks.Proficient in Microsoft Excel.5+ years of accounting experience in a busy environment. What’s in it for youHybrid working arrangementsCompetitive salaryCareer growth opportunities
