The Association of Evangelicals in Africa (AEA), in partnership with the Church Transformation Network (CTN), is looking for a highly motivated and experienced leader to serve as Africa Director for Pastoral Training & Church Leadership Development. This continental role provides leadership to CTN’s ministry initiatives across Africa, strengthening pastoral training, coaching networks, and leadership development through national and regional structures.
Position Summary
The Africa Director provides strategic oversight for CTN & AEA’s pastoral training and leadership development programs across Africa. Hosted within AEA and reporting jointly to the AEA Secretary General and the CTN President, the Director guides regional teams, strengthens partnerships, ensures program quality, and expands CTN’s reach and impact.
Core Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Lead and implement Africa-wide strategies for pastoral training and church leadership development.
- Provide leadership and support to regional CTN/AEA Program Ambassadors and Champions.
Program Oversight
- Ensure quality design, contextualization, and delivery of CTN designed training programs.
- Strengthen coaching networks and pastoral cohorts across diverse settings.
Partnership Building
- Build relationships with denominational leaders, churches, evangelical alliances, and mission partners.
- Represent CTN and AEA at regional gatherings and strategic forums.
Monitoring & Reporting
- Track and report on program outcomes, impact indicators, and regional performance.
- Conduct field visits, evaluations, and regular program reviews.
Resource Mobilization
- Identify and pursue funding, grants, and partnerships to sustain and expand CTN & AEA’s work.
- Support budgeting, planning, and responsible stewardship of resources.
Operational Coordination
- Oversee translation, printing, and distribution of training resources.
- Ensure efficient processes to support regional program implementation.
Qualifications
- Minimum Master’s Degree in Theology, Education, Leadership, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of leadership experience within African church or ministry contexts.
- Demonstrated experience in pastoral training, leadership development, or program management.
- Strong communication skills; fluency in English required, fluency in French preferred.
- Proven ability to work cross-culturally and build collaborative partnerships.
- Spiritually mature Christian aligned with CTN and AEA values.
- Willingness to travel across Africa and beyond
