DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Production & Operations Management
- Assist in planning, organizing, and supervising daily production activities to meet output and quality targets.
- Monitor production processes to ensure efficiency, consistency, and compliance with SOPs.
- Support the implementation of production schedules and ensure timely delivery of finished products.
- Coordinate material availability with procurement and inventory teams.
Equipment & Process Oversight
- Ensure proper use, maintenance, and calibration of manufacturing equipment.
- Troubleshoot production equipment issues and liaise with technical teams for repairs.
- Recommend improvements for process optimization, cost reduction, and reduced downtime.
Quality & Food Safety Compliance
- Ensure adherence to food safety standards (e.g., HACCP, GMP) across all operations.
- Work closely with quality assurance teams to maintain consistent product quality.
- Participate in internal audits and corrective action plans.
Team Leadership & People Management
- Supervise and guide production staff to achieve operational goals.
- Participate in staff training on processes, safety, and equipment handling.
- Monitor staff performance and support continuous skill development.
Reporting & Continuous Improvement
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports for management review.
- Analyze production data and contribute to initiatives that enhance productivity.
- Participate in planning and executing improvement projects within the operations unit.
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
- Diploma or Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Production Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in food processing, preferably within paste or jam manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing equipment and production workflow.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, quality systems, and regulatory requirements.
- Proficient in production planning and process optimization.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines.
