JOB SUMMARY

QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree is an added advantage)A postgraduate degree in a relevant field (e.g., Development Studies, Sustainability, Public Policy, Business Administration) is preferredStrong expertise in program development and managementMinimum 7–10 years experience in program management, preferably in a foundation, NGO, or CSR environmentProven track record in fundraising and donor relationsExperience in monitoring and evaluation frameworksFamiliarity with corporate social responsibility and sustainability practicesPrefered ExperienceProven experience in leading non-profit, development, or sustainability-focused organizations.Strong background in program management, fundraising, and stakeholder engagement.Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage complex projects.Excellent communication, strategic thinking, and leadership skills.Proficiency in budgeting and fundraisingExcellent planning, evaluation, and reporting skillsAbility to manage multiple projects and stakeholders effectivelyStrong communication and interpersonal skills

RESPONSIBILITIES

Key AccountabilitiesProgram Development & Management: Lead the development and execution of the Foundation’s strategic plan.Lead in the design, implementation, and scaling of programs across the four strategic pillarsOperations Management: Ensure smooth day-to-day running of the Foundation, including compliance and governance.Fundraising: Develop and execute strategies to secure funding for programs through partnerships and donor engagement.Monitoring & Evaluation: Establish frameworks to measure impact, track progress, and report outcomes effectively.Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to drive collaboration and visibility.Budgeting & Financial Oversight: Prepare and manage budgets for programs and operations, ensuring cost-effectiveness and accountability.Risk and Control objectiveEnsure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework and internal Absa Policies and Policy Standards.Understand and manage risks and risk events (incidents) relevant to the role.
