DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Sales & Business Development

·       Identify and pursue new corporate, institutional, wholesale, and business-to-business sales opportunities.

·       Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve assigned revenue and volume targets.

·       Generate leads through market research, referrals, networking, cold calling, and field visits.

·       Develop and maintain a strong sales pipeline.

·       Prepare and deliver product presentations, quotations, and proposals to prospective clients.

·       Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts within approved company guidelines.

·       Convert prospects into long-term customers and maximize sales opportunities.

Client Relationship Management

·       Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.

·       Understand client needs and recommend appropriate products and solutions.

·       Conduct regular client visits and follow-ups to strengthen business relationships.

·       Handle customer enquiries, complaints, and service issues professionally.

·       Monitor customer satisfaction and coordinate internally to ensure timely resolution of client concerns.

·       Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.

FMCG Market Development

·       Promote the company's products within the FMCG market, with particular focus on the detergent and related product categories.

·       Identify market trends, customer preferences, competitor activities, and emerging business opportunities.

·       Develop new distribution and corporate sales channels.

·       Monitor competitor pricing and market activity and provide regular feedback to management.

·       Support product launches, promotions, exhibitions, and other sales initiatives.

Sales Administration & Reporting

·       Maintain accurate records of customer accounts, sales activities, prospects, and opportunities.

·       Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and pipeline updates.

·       Monitor achievement against individual and team sales targets.

·       Follow up on quotations, orders, deliveries, and outstanding customer requirements.

·       Ensure all sales activities are conducted in accordance with company policies and procedures.

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

·       Diploma or Degree in Sales & Marketing, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field.

·       Minimum 4 years of proven sales experience, preferably within the FMCG sector.

·       Experience in the detergent/household cleaning products industry will be a strong advantage.

·       Demonstrated track record of achieving sales targets.

·       Experience in B2B, corporate, institutional, wholesale, or distributor sales is highly desirable.

·       Good understanding of the Nairobi and wider Kenyan FMCG market.

·       Proficiency in Microsoft Office and sales/customer management tools.
