Job Purpose
This role is based within the Africa Digital & IT Transformation department. The Country Business Analyst (CBA) is expected to be self-sufficient, effectively managing their workload and priorities in alignment with the needs of the local business. Acting as a liaising and business partner. Working with cross-functional teams to identity value-add, growth and improvement opportunities.
The role involves building strong working relationships with business functions in-market and across the region, enabling effective and smooth running of the business through Data & Technology.
The CBA is responsible for managing business applications, business processes and support users in their day-to-day business operations. Coordinating, planning and leading Digital and Technology related activities.
Reporting Relationships
This role reports directly to the Head of Digital & IT Transformation, Africa.
Job context & scope
Key Duties and Responsibilities
The key duties and responsibilities of this role will focus mainly on the following areas:
· Gather and analyze data for potential business expansion. Collaborate with relevant business stakeholders to understand their data requirements and provide data solutions that meet their needs.
· Collaborate with commercial and other business functions to provide data-driven insights that shape go-to-market strategies, process improvements and automations.
· Act as a liaison between local teams and regional/global headquarters.
· Gather and document business requirements for system enhancements or new initiatives.
· Facilitate communication to ensure alignment between business goals and system capabilities.
· Supporting and driving local digital transformation in line with regional/global strategies.
· Supporting and driving a data & analytics culture and maturity
· Project Management. Overseeing IT Business projects from initiation to completion.
· Training & Support. Providing training and support to end-users.
Qualifications, Key Competence & Skills:
· Graduate in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a technology and Business-related fields.
· Demonstrated ability to function as a technology business partner and effectively translate business needs into technical solutions.
· Excellent communication & stakeholder management, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
· Experience with agile or hybrid project management methodologies is a plus.
· Strong understanding of field sales operations and retail execution in the CPG context
· Experience in data analytics, dashboards, and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau). And ability to interpret data and draw actionable conclusions
· Proactive and collaborative. Takes initiative to identify business improvement opportunities. Works well in teams and thrives in a collaborative, performance-driven culture.
· Familiar with ERP and business intelligence systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle..)
