- Design, supervise, and support installation of electrical systems and equipment.
- Ensure all electrical works are executed in compliance with engineering standards, safety regulations, and project specifications.
- Conduct testing and commissioning of electrical installations and systems.
- Review technical drawings, schematics, and electrical layouts for accuracy and compliance.
- Support implementation of electrical upgrades, modifications, and expansion projects.
- Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance programs for electrical systems and equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical faults, breakdowns, and system failures promptly.
- Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency.
- Ensure proper maintenance of motors, panels, generators, transformers, control systems, and related infrastructure.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, technical reports, and inspection documentation.
- Participate in planning and execution of engineering projects within budget and timelines.
- Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and technical teams during project implementation.
- Provide technical guidance and support to maintenance and operational teams.
- Prepare engineering reports, project updates, and technical documentation.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at optimizing electrical performance and energy efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with electrical engineering standards, EBK regulations, and occupational safety requirements.
- Conduct routine inspections and risk assessments to identify potential electrical hazards.
- Promote adherence to workplace safety procedures and proper use of protective equipment.
- Support implementation of energy conservation and sustainability initiatives.
- Ensure all installations and maintenance activities meet quality assurance standards.
- Supervise technical personnel and contractors where applicable.
- Foster teamwork, accountability, and high technical performance within the engineering function.
- Collaborate with operations, maintenance, procurement, and project teams to ensure smooth execution of tasks.
- Provide mentorship and technical training to junior staff when required.
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering field.
- Must be a Registered Engineer with the Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK).
- Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in electrical engineering, installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Strong practical experience with electrical systems, equipment maintenance, and fault diagnosis.
- Experience in industrial, commercial, manufacturing, or construction environments is an added advantage.
