1. Role Overview

The General Auto Technician at Dahabshiil Motors is responsible for performing a wide range of automotive repairs and maintenance services. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles to ensure optimal performance and customer satisfaction.

2. Key Responsibilities

• Mechanical Repairs: Execute general repair tasks which include engine overhauls (for both petrol and diesel engines), suspension systems, brake systems, and transmission repairs.

• Routine Maintenance: Carry out oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid level checks to enhance vehicle longevity.

• Diagnostics & Troubleshooting: Utilize specialized diagnostic tools to assess vehicle issues and determine effective solutions for restoration.

• Specialized Servicing: Perform professional wheel alignment and balancing using advanced alignment technology.

• Quality Assurance: Complete all work in accordance with manufacturer specifications and safety guidelines, ensuring high standards of quality.

• Operational Efficiency: Achieve dealership productivity targets by fulfilling "Standard Repair Time" (SRT) objectives while ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

• Technical Communication: Clearly explain complex mechanical faults and repair recommendations to Service Advisors, ensuring transparent communication with customers.

• Documentation: Accurately record all repairs and services performed, including parts used and any preventive maintenance recommendations.

3. Qualifications & Experience

Education & Certifications:

• Formal Qualification: Minimum of a Certificate in Automotive Engineering or Automotive Systems.

• Licensing: Must possess a valid driver’s license.

Experience:

• Years of Experience: 5–10 years of experience in general automotive repairs and maintenance.

Functional Expertise:

• Technical Expertise: Comprehensive knowledge of automotive systems, tools, and repair techniques, with the ability to partially or fully disassemble and reassemble engines

. • Independence & Detail Orientation: Proven ability to work independently with meticulous attention to detail, committed to delivering high-quality work.

• Service Excellence: Customer-focused approach, with the ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients.

• Engine Overhaul

Skills:

Proficient in both partially and fully disassembling and reassembling petrol and diesel engines to restore them to fully operational condition.

• General Repair Skills: Capable of performing repairs on transmission systems, suspension systems, brake systems, cooling systems, and other vehicle systems with a high degree of accuracy and guaranteed work quality.
