ICT Officer

Overall Responsibility:

- Facilitate the optimal performance of IT infrastructure and enterprise systems, protect corporate data, and support commercial, billing, and field operations to guarantee reliable service delivery.

Key Job Responsibilities 

• Maintain and support utility-specific software, such as billing systems, CRM, and ERP databases.

• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues for staff. • Formulate and manage IT security policies (firewalls, antivirus), and conduct regular data and application backups.

• Investigate and analyze system requirements and recommend the best way forward

• Train end-users on existing and new technologies introduced to the company.

• Provide administrative and technical support to users and ensure proper usage and security, including assisting in the actual production of the reports 

• Ensure proper maintenance of both computer hardware and software, and ensure that an up-to-date record of computer hardware is maintained 

• Ensure adequate system integrity and security, including physical safety and security of the computer hardware 

• Ensure that up-to-date systems documentation, operations, and manuals are maintained.

• Updating and upgrading the Company website.

• Ensure that there are suitable control levels of consumables (stationery, printer ribbons, toners, etc

• Keep abreast with changes in technology and advise management on upgrades or purchase of new technology, as appropriate. 

• Supervise, train, appraise, and motivate staff in the computer section 

Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements:

• B.Sc. – Information Technology/Computer Science from a recognized university 

• Professional qualification, such as CCNA, will be an added advantage

• 3+ years of relevant hands-on IT support experience, with some roles requiring supervisory experience. 

Terms of Employment: The positions will be offered on a one-year renewable contract based on satisfactory performance.
