JOB TITLE: SALES REPRESENTATIVE 
NATURE OF JOB: FULL TIME
INDUSTRY: ENERGY
SALARY: KSHS. 25,000 PLUS COMMISSIONS
JOB LOCATION: KANGUNDO ROAD


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 
Sales & Business Development
  • Drive sales of cooking gas and lubricants within the assigned territory 
  • Identify and onboard new customers including retailers, wholesalers, and end users 
  • Achieve and exceed monthly sales targets 
  • Expand market reach through active field visits and prospecting 

Customer Relationship Management
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with petroleum product retailers and distributors 
  • Provide continuous support and product education to customers 
  • Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally 

Product Knowledge & Advisory
  • Demonstrate deep understanding of petroleum products including LPG (cooking gas) and lubricants 
  • Advise customers on product usage, benefits, and safe handling practices 
  • Support clients in selecting appropriate products based on their needs 

Market Coverage & Field Operations
  • Conduct regular field visits along Kangundo Road and surrounding areas 
  • Monitor product availability and ensure proper stock levels in outlets 
  • Identify new market opportunities and expansion areas 

Reporting & Administration
  • Submit daily and weekly sales reports to management 
  • Maintain accurate records of sales, orders, and customer interactions 
  • Report market trends, competitor activity, and pricing changes 

Credit & Collections Support
  • Follow up on payments and ensure timely collections from clients 
  • Monitor customer credit exposure and report risks 
  • Support enforcement of company credit policies

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
  • Diploma or Degree in Sales & Marketing, Business Administration, or related field
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in petroleum product sales (LPG/cooking gas, lubricants) 
  • Strong understanding of the petroleum distribution value chain 
  • Proven field sales experience with ability to work independently 
  • Valid driving license is an added advantage
