Job Purpose
The Senior Solar Projects Sales Executive will be responsible for driving business growth through the sale of commercial and industrial Solar EPC projects. The role involves identifying new business opportunities, managing the complete sales cycle, developing technical and commercial proposals, and working closely with engineering and project delivery teams to ensure successful project execution. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the solar project lifecycle, enabling them to confidently guide clients from initial engagement through project commissioning. 
Key Responsibilities
•    Identify, develop, and close new Solar EPC business opportunities within commercial, industrial, institutional, and manufacturing sectors. 
•    Build and maintain long-term relationships with corporate clients, consultants, contractors, developers, and key decision-makers. 
•    Conduct client meetings to understand energy requirements and recommend suitable solar solutions. 
•    Perform site visits and preliminary assessments to qualify project opportunities. 
•    Prepare and deliver compelling technical and commercial proposals, presentations, and quotations. 
•    Manage the entire sales process from lead generation, qualification, proposal development, negotiation, contract signing, and project handover. 
•    Collaborate with engineering teams during feasibility studies, system design, and solution development to ensure customer requirements are met. 
•    Coordinate with project management, procurement, and installation teams to ensure seamless project execution. 
•    Support customers throughout the project lifecycle, including planning, design, procurement, installation, testing, commissioning, and post-installation support. 
•    Develop accurate sales forecasts and maintain an active sales pipeline using CRM tools. 
•    Prepare tender documents and participate in bidding processes for private and public sector projects. 
•    Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, government policies, and renewable energy regulations. 
•    Negotiate commercial terms and contracts while ensuring profitability and customer satisfaction. 
•    Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions, networking forums, and client meetings. 
•    Achieve monthly and annual sales targets while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. 
•    Prepare periodic sales reports, market intelligence reports, and business development plans for management. 
Qualifications
•    Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, Business, Sales & Marketing, or a related field. 
•    Minimum 5 years' experience in the solar industry. 
•    Minimum 2–3 years' proven experience selling Solar EPC projects to commercial and industrial clients. 
•    Strong understanding of Solar PV systems, battery storage, hybrid systems, and commercial energy solutions. 
•    Experience in preparing technical proposals, quotations, and tender documentation. 
•    Knowledge of the complete Solar EPC project lifecycle, including feasibility, engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and operations. 
•    Excellent negotiation, presentation, and relationship management skills. 
•    Strong commercial acumen with the ability to develop profitable business opportunities. 
•    Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems. 
•    Valid Kenyan driving licence with willingness to travel for client visits and site inspections.
