DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• 
  
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to process customer purchases, returns, and exchanges
  
• Accurately handle cash, mobile money, and card payments
  
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area
  
• Assist customers with inquiries and provide helpful product information
  
• Monitor and replenish checkout supplies (e.g., shopping bags, receipt paper)
  
• Report any discrepancies, malfunctions, or unusual customer behavior to the supervisor
  
• Follow all cash handling procedures and company policies
  
• Assist with general supermarket duties as required (e.g., restocking shelves during downtime)
  

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

• 
  
• KCSE Certificate
  
• Proven experience as a cashier in a retail store or restaurant
  
• Strong knowledge of POS systems and basic accounting principles
  
• Excellent customer service skills with a polite and professional demeanor
  
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
