Job summary

The underwriting and claims officer will be responsible for the overall underwriting and claims management by ensuring all underwriting operations and claims management follow the company regulatory requirements.

Min Qualification: Bachelors Experience Level: Entry level Experience Length: 2 years

Job descriptions & requirements

Key responsibilities
  • Underwriting - (risk assessments), evaluating risks, setting premiums, preparing quotations, issuing policies and managing renewals
  • Claims Management-Receiving notifications, verifying coverage against policy terms and ensuring timely settlements
  • Customer support & compliance- Explaining policy terms to clients, managing client’s relationships, maintaining claims records and ensuring adherence to legal and internal company standards.
  • Reporting- Tracking loss rations, producing regular claims reports and reporting on SLA compliance with insurance companies

Experience
  • 2 years’ experience in underwriting | claims, with knowledge of specific insurance classes

Education
  • Bachelor degree in business administration, insurance finance or related courses
  • COP or Diploma in insurance
