The underwriting and claims officer will be responsible for the overall underwriting and claims management by ensuring all underwriting operations and claims management follow the company regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities
- Underwriting - (risk assessments), evaluating risks, setting premiums, preparing quotations, issuing policies and managing renewals
- Claims Management-Receiving notifications, verifying coverage against policy terms and ensuring timely settlements
- Customer support & compliance- Explaining policy terms to clients, managing client’s relationships, maintaining claims records and ensuring adherence to legal and internal company standards.
- Reporting- Tracking loss rations, producing regular claims reports and reporting on SLA compliance with insurance companies
Experience
- 2 years’ experience in underwriting | claims, with knowledge of specific insurance classes
Education
- Bachelor degree in business administration, insurance finance or related courses
- COP or Diploma in insurance
