POSITION DETAILS
Job Purpose To support the day-to-day operations of our Finance Department.
The successful candidate will gain hands-on experience across accounting, treasury, reporting, inventory management, and financial administration while contributing to the efficient running of the finance function.
Main Responsibilities of the Job
• Manage daily cash and bank transactions and maintain accurate records.
• Post financial transactions in Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365).
• Reconcile sales valuations between the Operations Portal and D365.
• Receipt customer M-Pesa payments and ensure timely allocation against customer invoices.
• Process and monitor imprest requests and retirements for field teams.
• Support tracker verifications, inventory counts, and periodic stock take.
• Ensure timely booking and reconciliation of petty cash transactions with adequate supporting documentation.
• Maintain proper filing and safekeeping of finance records and documents.
• Assist with month-end closing activities and management reporting.
• Support store operations, including receipting and issuance of inventory items.
• Participate in internal audits and provide required documentation and support.
• Perform any other finance and administrative duties assigned by management.
Academic and Professional Requirements
• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
• Recent graduate or candidate with up to one year of experience in finance or accounting.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and financial processes.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 or other ERP systems will be an added advantage.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
